In early times, cranberries were used to treat wounds, tumors, and scurvey. Today, they are used in preventing and treating urinary tract infections. Eating cranberries seems to prevent bacteria and micro-organisms from attaching to the wall of the bladder, thus preventing bacterial growth and infection. |
